Dual Fuel Rebate

FortisBC is offering a rebate of $10,000 to homeowners who replace their old gas furnaces with a dual fuel heating system, which combines an electric heat pump and a high-efficiency gas furnace. This system provides efficient heating and cooling year-round, automatically switching between electric and gas modes to optimize energy use. Additional rebates are available for income-qualified, Indigenous, and northern B.C. residents, with potential savings up to $18,000. To qualify, applicants must have a FortisBC natural gas account, reside in an eligible home, and ensure installation by a licensed contractor..
