About this home

Our Energy Advisor team collaborated with Hasier Homes and Bradbury Architects to craft a stunningly designed carefully engineered home with the future in mind. This custom home meets CHBA Net Zero standards and is BuiltGreen platinum rated,  Named “Linda Vista” by its owners, meaning “Pretty View” in Spanish, this home produces just as much energy from on-site renewables as it consumes, thanks to 40 solar panels located on the roof along with many other durable, high-performance features.

In addition to its BuiltGreen platinum rating, this home boasts various features pertaining to efficiency and sustainable living, including a Drain Water Heat Recovery unit and Air to Water Heat Pump with 9.5 HSPF and 19.3 SER. With triple-glazed windows that have USI values ranging from 0.85 to 0.97, the Linda Vista promotes comfort while cutting down on maintenance needs.

Built to higher standards than conventional homes, Net Zero developments are extremely airtight and well-insulated, and this house is no exception. The Linda Vista offers 2×6 above grade walls with continuous exterior insulation throughout the entire building envelope, and has an airtightness of 1.24 ACH (Air Changes per Hour), reducing the home heating costs and increasing energy efficiency.

Net Zero homes are designed, modelled and constructed to produce as much renewable energy as they consume annually, and the Linda Vista offers just that, while ensuring durability through energy and cost-efficient technologies in addition to other high-performance features that prioritize comfortable living.
