Radon Awareness Month: Coming up in November
|
|
As November is radon action month, let’s talk about the risks associated with radon gas and the importance of testing and taking action to reduce radon levels in Homes.
Radon Awareness is especially important when planning renovations and/or improving energy efficiency of a home as increased air tightness may potentially increase indoor radon levels.
During radon action month, Health Canada is seeking to engage with organizations interested in the promotion of radon awareness and testing. Options available include:
- Providing homeowners with Radon Test Kits
- Providing homeowners with a Health Canada Radon information pamphlet (available for free from Health Canada – email hc.radon.sc@canada.ca to request printed copies )
- Supporting Radon Action Month by following and sharing Health Canada posts on Facebook: Healthy Canadians and Twitter: @GovCanHealth and using the following hashtags: #Radon, and #TakeActiononRadon.
