FEATURED PROJECT

Parqside Townhomes Kamloops

We are pleased to present Parqside Townhomes in Kamloops, BC. These townhomes are currently under construction, with the first building recently tested for air tightness, yielding excellent results.

The builder, Matt McCurrach from Homex Development Corp, envisions creating high-performance townhomes that will meet the needs of the local community. Matt McCurrach is highly experienced and actively involved in the construction industry as a volunteer. He is the past President of CHBA Central Interior and the current CHBA National President.

What makes these townhomes special, is they are being built to Step 4 of the BC Energy Step Code.  They are designed to be comfortable, durable, and healthy homes.  Oh, and did we mention they will be super energy efficient ?

In a nut shell, these townhomes will use 50% less energy, than a minimum code built home.

Stay tuned for more info to come on the project.

Heating and Cooling load calculations

High-performance homes today are different from those built a decade ago. With better windows, more insulation, and airtight designs, right-sizing mechanical systems is essential. Our trained staff uses F280-12 compliant software, meeting BC Building Code standards for heating and cooling load calculations.

Here are some of the Jurisdictions and programs are requiring F280-12 room by room heating and cooling load calculations:

Resort Municipality of Whistler

Tofino
City of Vancouver

CHBA Net Zero home labeling program
