FEATURED PROJECT

Foxridge Homes – First Net Zero Home in the
Township of Langley

Foxridge Homes recently completed the first ever CHBA Net Zero home,  in their Westbrooke subdivision in the Township of Langley.

The home also achieved  Step Code 5 of the BC Energy Step Code.

We worked on this project from the initial design, through mid construction and final air leakage testing.

Working on the energy modeling and energy assessments for this project was exciting and challenging to say the least. But working alongside the professional team at Foxridge, made our jobs easier. Great to be part of the movement forward to Net Zero homes.

Contact us to book a FREE Net Zero consultation with us.

Free duct air leakage testing
Searching for homeowners with a forced air furnace!

We are working with the Canadian Association of Consulting Energy Advisors (CACEA) and collaborating with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) to conduct a Canada-wide research project.

Contact us for free duct testing of your forced air system.  It will only take 30mins !

This study assesses the importance of certain criteria with regards to heat pumps in renovated homes. Our Energy Advisors would be collecting data in your home for a maximum of 30 minutes. We are asking if you might be able to help us with this critical research by volunteering your furnace for quick duct leakage test ?

Please reach out to our office manager Hannah for more info or to sign up for this limited time offer.

DEFINITION OF THE MONTH

Low-E coatings
Low-E stands for low Emissivity – thin metallic coatings that decrease the rate at which glass radiates heat. The type or degree of low-E coatings will change the solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) of the glazing, and that impacts the overall performance of the window.

Please remember to book your mid construction and final blower door tests at least two weeks in advance!
Friendly reminder to anyone needing to book their mid-construction and final blower door tests. Please give us a call or email us at manager@capitalhomeenergy.com two weeks in advance to ensure we can have you on the schedule.
