CleanBC Better Homes New Construction Rebate Program
|

We are excited to share information about the CleanBC Better Homes New Construction Program! This program provides rebates up to $15,000 for the construction of new, high-performance, electric homes.
There are two rebate pathways you can choose from:
- Energy Step Code pathway: build a new home that meets a minimum BC Energy Step code level and uses electric space and water heating systems. (See table above)
OR
- Heat pump pathway: build a new home that uses an electric heat pump for space heating or water heating, regardless of Energy Step Code level. (See table above)
Choose your add-on rebates:
- All-Electric Bonus: build a home with no fossil fuel (e.g. natural gas, propane, oil) connection whatsoever (including for cooking, fireplaces, or other uses) and receive an additional $4,000 per home.
- Energy Advisor Support Rebate: work with a Program Qualified Energy Advisor and receive an additional $800 per home (for the builder).

2020 has been a challenging year to say the least, and I would like to extend my gratitude to our clients, family, and friends for their continued support.
Also, a big thanks to our dedicated team of professionals at Capital Home Energy for making this another successful year, despite the difficulties we all had to face.
This year we have seen major breakthroughs from our builders, architects, and designers when it comes to high performance homes. We are seeing innovations and improvements across the industry, from airtightness strategies, higher R value assemblies, high performance glazing, and mechanical systems. This, of course, is all leading towards more Healthy, Durable, Comfortable, and Energy Efficient homes.
Net Zero housing is really taking off in BC, and this will be one of the top trends in 2021. Our team of Net Zero trained Energy Advisors, is ready to assist you on your next project.
