About One Raven

The first CHBA Net-Zero Multi Unit Residential Building in BC, One Raven is a truly unique development. This building boasts an innovative, modern design while promoting sustainability and practical, cost-efficient living. Capital Home Energy worked alongside Naikoon Contracting and Tina Hubert Architect Inc. on this comfortable CHBA NetZero ½ duplex that offers a number of high-performance key features.

The development is built to Step 5 of the BC Energy Step Code, with high-performance, glazed windows with a USI ranging from 0.85 to 0.91. With 2×6 exterior wall framing with 6” EPS exterior insulation, Net Zero homes are extremely airtight and well-insulated, providing shading and preventing overheating through windows during the summer months. As for the transition from colder to warmer months, One Raven has a HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilator) with 75% SRE at 0 degrees Celsius, ensuring your home is well-ventilated and supplied with fresh air.

Other sources of efficient and renewable energy in this development include an Air Source Heat Pump with 8.87 HSPF and 19.9 SEER, as well as an EnergyStar-rated integrated Heat Pump water heater with 3.5 EF. This development is designed to keep you comfortable and is built with efficiency and sustainability in mind, ensuring that your home meets all of your needs while remaining cost-efficient and good to your budget.
